Linking MyCIC account to PR application

Hi All,

I am finally able to link the application with myCIC profile. I am sponsor and representative.

Just wanted to let all of you know. My wife birth city/ town is Kolkata. I was entering Kolkata on page but not working.

I checked GCMS notes and in there Place of Birth is mentioned as Kolkata West Bengal. (No comma in between, just space). And it worked.

I suggest you all try entering state name as well..

Updated with COPR, Condition 51 documents (2 updates yesterday).

Today, updated (I'm thinking update has to do with probably 'passport returned')...I got the email, but nothing attached in MyCIC..then few hours later got email from CVAC (London) about my passport...rang them and they said yes my passport/package will leave their office today/tomorrow...

I'm not going to waste anymore time trying to do this link...Been trying now for 3 days and NOTHING I do works.

It hasn't worked for me for the past 4 days! Tried various combinations and the helpful suggestions in this thread, however still cannot link either my mom's application or my in-laws application. As another poster pointed out, the system also kicks me out after 4 tries!

Pretty much given up on this!

This darn thing is definitely headache inducing... I did the IRCC Web Form for technical difficulties to see if that'll help... hopefully I get a reply as to why I can't link my application...

1st day I tried 10 times with no success.

I pulled up the IMM 0008 form that we submitted thinking they would have to go off the info on this form.

I used UCI # and Family Name.

We have baby daughter that is Canadian citizen by birth so I put 3.

On 2nd day I'll try application number. Do I input the letter and all the numbers or leave out the first letter?

Hey. It finally worked for me.
You know what did the trick?
A space in City of birth.

They apparently didn't update their system with my father's city of birth.
Just leaving it blank didn't work. I had to press the space button.

I also put 6 for family size: Sponsor, 4 sponsored people, wife of sponsor.

I hope this info helps others who are struggling to link.

you shouldn't count the non-accompanying person though. So you should just put 2 people

try not to put too much info, try just entering name and birthday

People seem to have the most luck with using only Family name, Given name (includes middle name if mentioned in passport) and Date of Birth and not filling the passport information. Also, in some cases the number of applicants doesn't include children. Many people had luck by entering 2 (sponsor and applicant) even though children were included in the application. I hope this helps and you'll get through!

Thanks - I had posted this message after being able to link his application. It worked with #3 (including the non-accompanying).

Mycic is just weird.

This is so frustrating. My GCMS notes should be coming in next week so I'll see what went wrong.

I tried another 15 times today in addition to the 15 times yesterday.

I'm 100% sure family name, given name, date of birth, UCi# and application #'s are correct. Passport is also correct. Other information location is exactly what she put on her IMM008 form.

Only part that may be indifferent would be city of birth. She put down Chau Thanh - Tieng Giang. So we tried with and without hyphen and sometimes we'll just put passport info only. We also tried Chau Thanh only.

# of applicants we tried 2 and 3 since we have baby daughter who is a Canadian citizen.

Guys help plzzz .. am not able to link the application online ... i did my best to search for my husband application to be linked on the new service and it did not work ... and passed the 5 times trying two times. is there any one can help ? thank u so much
I do not know which info they need the sponsor or the sponsored ? from your experience which info we should enter ? thank you
