I feel like they have a contingency plan on that, I doubt they want us trying to link an application say 50 times (if both sides had 5 email addresses, which isn't actually that unreasonable these days).

I agree. That being said, what is the explanation then for some applications not linking?

I was able to link my husband's app to my account after 4 tries. I did what ImABule suggested (app number + PA's UCI - which I got from hub's previous TRV applications, and change number of applicants to include the sponsor). Doesn't really say much at this point because we're still on the first stages, but it's probably going to be useful in the future. (And thanks again, ImABule! I feel like I owe you now because you always help me with everything lol)

Have they at least started the eligibility check? We have a similar timeline to you (Jan applicant) and until I get my account linked I wanted to know if there's any progress for Jan applicants.

I linked my account with no problem.

Just make an other account and see, the only reason of not linking might be your inputs, there might be a mismatch somewhere(passport,city...) yes you can call CIC if you are still not able.

Probably incorrect information, line of information could be different from what you have and what CIC has recorded. Things like city of birth or your passport expiry date etc.

I honestly double and triple checked everything. I'm inputing the information exactly as it was in the application forms and official documents.

I've been putting in everything as in me GCMS notes and it is still not linking.

Yes. But what's in GCMS and what you wrote could be two different things bro.

They have Faisal's wife as single and he couldn't link the app until he put single even though he entered married on the forms.

GCMS has my wife's phone and email addresses as mine and have my years of education as 2 lol.

Could be something they have recorded wrong is what Faisal is implying.

make sure you put either birth place info OR passport not both

Do you have a copy of your GCMS Notes? If so, you should make sure everything under client details is inputted the same on the MyCIC linking process.

For number of people, it could also be throwing you off, if it's just you and your spouse then 2, if there is a child on the way or already born, try putting in 3 etc.

We don't have GCMS notes, so in that case it's guessing an infinite number of possibilities of what to input in the fields. If there's a difference of one number in the dates, that is impossible to tell. I'm going by exactly what we wrote on the forms, and without notes I can't say if the two match.

Oh I know you don't have notes, that's why if they f*cked something up in their GCMS system it could screw you getting on MyCIC :(

Hi everyone! I managed to get mine (well, my partner's, since I'm the sponsor) linked. Entering 2 persons instead of 1 did the trick for me.
I hope everyone who's having trouble linking their app will find a way soon.

Aww, darn. I'd say order them because like you said there are an infinite number of possibilities.

As we have learned, what we write in the application form, and what CIC records can be quite different lol.

Do you know if there's a number to call that can assist with this? I'd call on Monday but generally speaking is there tech support for such instances? If it doesn't work again tomorrow I'm going to have to speak to someone about it because we have a very straightforward and simple application, all accurate info, so we should have access to view our account.
