Hello, has anyone been able to get letter of reference as prescribed by CIC by Indian IT firms (I have worked with Wipro and Infosys before). CIC checklist asks for duties/responsibilities, annual salary for each position and number of hours per week. IN the standard relieving letter that these firms give out, this information is not there.

If anyone has managed to get such a letter from these companies, can you please help me out with the processs - whom should we be contacting, how long it takes etc.

Hi
I am about to request Infosys and Tech Mahindra very soon as well. How was your experience thus far?

How do they verify the past work experience? call the person on the letter? As this employer is from 3 years back!

Thanks!

Not sure whether they "call" the person on the letterhead but if its on official letterhead they would assume its true , I guess.

I am worried that my old employer would not remember my exact job details as it is an old Job. Eventhough he signed my employment letter.

Well Infosys most certainly doesn't oblige with detailed experienced letters. I mailed them and they clearly said NO.

Infy doesnt provide at all. Focus on the alternatives
WIpro does, contact Separation team.

I didn't work for Wipro , I worked for Infosys only. So i might have to try my luck.

Hi,

Is anyone successful in getting reference letters from infosys.

Nope. Infosys doesn't provide one to ex-infoscians. However, current employees can get from their existing unit HR.

Hi my current employer is TCS. Any idea how to get letter from them.

Please get in touch with your business HR and they should be able to provide one post your manager/BU head approval per CIC requested format.

I talked to HR. They are not willing to list my roles and responsibilities. They are only providing simple bonafide letter.

Please get it done from your manager/colleague per methods already specified by senior members on forum and list your inability to procure one per CIC format in LOE (attaching mail communication with HR team etc.)

I am with TCS, and it does not provide anythimg other than the bonafide letter. Colleague's reference is the only option.
