Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hi all, I was just wondering if anyone is in a situation where they have worked in 3, 4, 5 or more places and for some reason one of them can't provide you with a letter of reference.

Anyone in this category and should one be too worried about one letter of reference missing from a previous job even though you upload all the employment letters and certificate for the job.
My current job and two other jobs actually provided me with letters of reference and i uploaded them with supporting documents.

Should i be worried?

You must provide reference letters only for those jobs you claim points for in your EE profile.
So, if you don't mention it, you won't need a reference letter.

That's my case. I've had 4 jobs in the past 10 years, but the 2 most recent jobs are enough for me to get max points. So the first 2 will be left out of my profile.

How do you know which ones gave the maximum points? I am still waiting for a reference letter that may not arrive in time.

If I recall correctly, you get max points if you prove a total of 3 years.
But don't rely on me on this one, check CIC site to know for sure how many years of work you need to get maximum points.
So, how long each job lasted is what matters here. The more, the better.

Please help! Bumping this up. ;D

I'm applying under EE, provincial nominee.

In my EE profile/PR application, I have listed all the jobs I have held since I came to Canada. Before my current job (NOC B), ALL my previous jobs were NOC level C. Do I STILL have to provide reference letters for these? It's going to be a huge hassle having to contact everyone if I do... I held about 6 of them (they were mostly student jobs).

I only got points for my current NOC B job. And someone above stated I would only need to upload a letter just for this job. Can someone confirm?
I don't see why CIC would care about my NOC level C jobs since they are not relevant!

The "upload documents" section has multiple slots for me to upload each reference letter (I assume it's for each job I listed in my application!)
So do I still have to get these, or can I leave it blank, or..?!

Not required. These jobs need not be mentioned in Work history. Just retain them in Personal history.

Delete those jobs from Work history and these slots will disappear.

Thanks for your help!
Unfortunately since I already received an ITA, my EE profile is locked and I can't make changes to my work history.
Do I need to call CIC?

I guess trying to be as thorough as possible didn't work for me in this case... :(

You can make these edits in the post ITA application.

Would that raise a flag if I have listed those jobs in my EE profile but not in the post ITA application?
I would think not since they are NOC C....?

You are listing them in your personal history, so all will be declared somewhere. You just don't need to provide paperwork in that section.

Just saves you a heap of legwork on documents that aren't required in the end.

Awesome. And yes, this would save me hours of headache. My previous employers probably don't even remember me anyways, haha.
