very unique job title - how do I inform it to CIC?

Thanks, dobes. I think NOC won't be a problem, because I could fit both 2171 and 2174, given the duties listed in my reference letter.

9th Draw Fingers Crossed - Hopefully we see CRS points below 450pts

Before Express Entry, anyone who wanted to immigrate to Canada through one of the economic programs should have to qualify for at least one of them: FSW, FST, PNP or CEC. Each one had (and still has) its own requirements. Since January, CIC created the Express Entry program and ceased direct...

9th Draw Fingers Crossed - Hopefully we see CRS points below 450pts

Eligible to apply for EE, yes. But it's impossible to know if it will ever be enough to receive an ITA. But you also must meet the requirements for FSW, FST, PNP or CEC.

9th Draw Fingers Crossed - Hopefully we see CRS points below 450pts

When the draw is done, the ministerial instruction informs the minimum score you must have to receive an invitation to apply (ITA). To be eligible, you must meet the criteria for any of the four economic programs: FSW, CEC, FST or PNP. The ministerial instructions can be found here...

does express entry have any future ? because no 9th draw till now ??

Express Entry is the future. As soon as the old, pre-EE applications are gone, this will be the only way for immigration through economic programs. I think that, as time goes by, the number of ITAs issued per draw will be much higher, or the draws will be more frequent. Or both. "When will it...

very unique job title - how do I inform it to CIC?

I have a very unique job title. I work for the Government and they don't use those common job titles like "Systems Analyst" or "Computer Programmer". If I could translate it, it would be something like "Judiciary Technician - Specialized Support Area - IT Specialization". Yes, that big. How am...

9th Draw Fingers Crossed - Hopefully we see CRS points below 450pts

Jobs come and go. The employee is free to work anywhere else. The EE requisite is a job offer, not a job commitment :D

chris alexandre will update tomorrow about express entry

Probably not good news, neither bad news. Just "this is how things have been, this is what how we expect EE to positively affect our economy" stuff. Well, that's my guess. We'll know soon.

chris alexandre will update tomorrow about express entry

I don't think it's a reason for us to worry. He will probably just show numbers to tell people that the new system is better than the old one and what they expect from it until the end of the year. I don't think that there will be any new relevant information for us.

    9th draw date

I think you're right. They can do whatever they want to, as long as it's not illegal. They can spend months with no draws, they can do 5 draws in a single week, they can do class specific draws (already done), and why not even NOC specific draws? It's their system, designed to fill their gaps...
