The applicant would like to purchase a return ticket for further proof of returning to her country, but I guess her ticket purchase depends on the time for her application to be processed.

How should she proceed to do this?

Looking at the CIC website, it also states:

"The date the person you are inviting intends to leave Canada."

How can I know this if the date is dependent on the government's acceptance of the visitor visa?

Merci

Perhaps a little simpler:

do you have to purchase a plane ticket before application? Would I book 2 or 3 months in advance?

Hi,

I did not attach a plane ticket with my application because I did not know if I would be able to get a visa or not.

some airline companies allow booking without paying off the tickets. I read that overseas visa offices require photocopy of the ticket booking as a proof of return back. they even have included it into the checklist of application. they can issue visa right according to the tickets dates.

do you plan to apply in person or by mail? in person you can book a week in advance or even later, by mail, it's recommended 1 or 1.5 months in advance depending on the date you send your application, as it might take up to a month to receive the reply from them.

your tickets should be purchased according to the dates mentioned in the invitation letter.

It does not have to be ticket it can be only itinerary that's what it says on check list. Any agent could issue that, not a big deal, just promise to buy a ticket once you get the visa and they will issue the itinerary.

I didn't purchase a plane ticket before getting my TRV for my last visit to Canada.

I wrote my itinerary on a paper with flight numbers and dates, and at the bottom of the page I wrote "Tickets not purchased yet. This flight schedule was retrieved from Air Canada's website on (date)."

Make sure to get your visa as early as you can.

I thank everyone very much! :)

I think the visitor visa processing time in Bucharest is up to 28 days, so I can book in advance.
