hi.. im a newbie here,,, im just a little bit confused.. i arrived here in canada as livein caregiver july 17, 2012.. i went to phils. for vacation on july 18, 2013.. and i came back in canada sept. 10, 2013... a total of 55 days spent in the phils.. my question is how can i compute in order for me to know when will be my finish contract for the 2yrs LCP...since we have a 10 days
off paid vacation per year.. just want 2 know when to apply for PR.. any help/advice will be verry much appreciated .. tnx.

Tootzsy, I wouldn't count 55 days, I would count 2 years without this 55 days. Of course, you can include 2 weeks in your 2 years, but I would work a bit longer, just in case, you know ::)

Here is a link from s.o else who apllied under option 2 and received her PR. Explaining the holiday thingy.
In my case I submitted my payslips with the hours and pay. And none of them mentioning holiday pay as it is the same as my standard pay...so they won't know when I had a holiday. But my contract states i m allowed to 10 days paid holidays in a year. So cgeck yours!
I didn't add a timesheet of hours cause I didn't use overtime to reach 3920 hrs. someone in the forum adviced me to add more hours before applying...and i did.. So if y can work a week or two more to go over 3900 hrs do so. Just to be on the safe side.

im sorry my bad.. double checked my contract and it says 10 days of paid vacation per year (sorry bout that) means 20 days of in 2 years...
.. ..but i was on vacation 55 days in phils.. should i subtract 55 days less 20 days of paid vac.. which gives me 35 days more..since i started working on july 17,2012, and i work only the normal hours per day.. no overtime..my 2 yrs working supposed to be july 17, 2014 + 35 days more.....is it august 21,2014? to get the 24 months LCP.. finish contrct.

im not sure ..is this corect?

Mhm I m not good in maths lol...I don t know to be honest. Since you re going to apply for option 1 fulltime 24months I m not sure. Best to ask around or cic and in doubt yes just work 35 days longer.

Hi guys if y like y can also join this group on Facebook...live in caregivers canada.
