Sigh, I have applied May 23rd and paid the $255 in full at day of application and I still have no answer. Getting pretty frustrated seeing that they now even seem to process June applications
But then I hear from April applicants still waiting, I really feel for you guys...
I guess all we can do is be patient. :-[

Says closed now, i had to refresh it a few times. It seems i was logged in at the same time they approved it.

It is like the people who applied around middle of May and later, paying the full amount of 255$ at the moment of the application are getting the PGWP in these days.

While people who applied in April and first days of MAy (as I did) paying 155$ with the application and later the extra 100$ are suffering unfair delays.

They should know that we followed their instructions, which are causing us this long time to get the approval. I don't understand why they are working in june applications ehen they didnt solve the April ones.

I received the approval message from CIC today . Here is my new timeline:

Applied: June 1st (Full amount paid)
Blank Update: August 14th, August 25th
Current Status: Approved on September 3rd, 2015 (95 days); Waiting for original permit

Appreciate your help Jubear, and I hope everyone who has applied receive their approval messages soon!

First of all congratulations to all the approved applicants! I got mine approved as well today.

Pending applicants, don't worry. I know it is very frustrating. I think they have increased the pace now. Below are details related to my application.

Application Date: May 25th 2015
Submission Date: May 26th (Received an email confirming the status as submitted).
Blank No Update E-Mails: Every month 25th (Could be, they notify every 30 days)
Update E-Mails: Aug 6th, 9th and Sep 1st (But when I logged in MYCIC nothing changed).Currently, I didn't receive any email when it actually got updated to Approved.
Mail Delivery: Pending

I definitely believe you will also receive approval very soon. Let me know, if there is anything I could do to help.

I have a serious problem regarding to my work permit. I have done Masters and after my graduation I have been granted by a PGWP. This permit has been expired on June 2015. I have applied for an open work permit under the category of PNP basis Masters Stream and got my new permit yesterday. The problem is that em doing part time job in a retail store, When I gave them my new work permit, they called me and said this is not an open work permit, you have only three days to fix it else we gonna fire you from work. I called to CIC agent and she told me it's open not close. On my work permit under Employer section "Any" is written, means I can work for any company. but my Occupation is "Chemical Engineer" which is mentioned there. And According to my HR Manager instead of Chemical Engineer, it should be mentioned as "Open". Now em facing a big issue. How can I sort out this thing.? Your urgent and precious guidance will help me alot

If on your work permit it says "ANY" employer, I'd understand it as an Open Work Permit. The best way I think is that you call CIC back again, confirm this with them again and request them to send you an email confirmation that says it is an "OWP" rather than a close one. Once you have that, forward it to your employer and you are all good to go.

Yeah I'm on the same boat as you. I applied on May 29th and still haven't heard from CIC..I keep checking myCIC but there's nothing. I can't understand how people from JUNE are getting their permits!! I paid the full amount so it's not even like they have to reach out to me for the extra fee!

I applied on june 11 and did not get any blank update until today.

Is this a bad sign?

I read that people is getting blank updates during the process, mostly when it is close to be finalized

I applied May 6th 2015 online. Paid 100$ fee on CSE Aug 14th, and resubmitted receipt when requested on Aug 21st on MyCIC. No updates since then.

Few of us are in the same situation... in few days we should get the permit.
