I applied on May 13th and based on your conversation with the agent, I'm looking further than end of September...
I've exhausted all my options... I've called my MP twice already, CIC several times and all I need to do is wait for it... However I need to leave Canada by end of September for my wedding and come back at beginning of Nov to start my job. The only option I have left is to leave Canada without a work permit and apply for a regular TRV (my country needs a TRV to get into Canada) from outside in the hopes that the outside Visa office doesn't have major delays. Hopefully by the time I'm back, I have received the work permit to start my job...

I'm in the same boat and I heard you can't leave Canada without the WP? Because you can't get TRV unless you have a permit?

If your individual processing time/day count exceeds the current CIC processing time of WP, please take the initiative to seek help from your Member of Parliament (MP) within your constituency (or residential area). Gather all evidence including your application number and let your MP know about your situation. To find your MP, use your current postal code via Parliament of Canada at: http://www.parl.gc.ca/Parlinfo/Compilations/HouseOfCommons/MemberByPostalCode.aspx?Menu=HOC.

5. If you paid only $155 and never paid the extra $100 for all OWP holders, please visit these two sites to pay and upload the remaining balance (receipt):
a) Online Payment at: https://eservices.cic.gc.ca/epay/welcome.do?lang=en. Once you are there follow the instructions below:
Click continue below > Accept disclaimer > Immigration > Temporary residence > Open work permit holder fee > type 1 for number of
applications.

b) Case Specific Enquiry (CSE) at: https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx?_ga=1.63908399.108801500.1431902909
Use this online form to upload the PDF receipt you received. First fill in your UCI, address, phone etc. Scan and upload it to the CSE.
Also, type a short precise message (in the message box) indicating your reasons. In that message don't forget to include your online
Application Number that begins with a W.

6. ** New TRV for those who want to travel after receiving their PGWP. Processing fee is $100 (the required docs for application include; passport copy, face/head photograph, IMM5257E form, and a copy of your PGWP). Please be aware that your PGWP doesn't give you the right to return to Canada. You need a new TRV that you apply for as a worker NOT as a student. 7. Unless its a family emergency, please make your travel plans carefully and wisely.

8. If you've been refused a PGWP and have lost status, please learn more about restoration of your status at: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/temp/visa/validity/restoration.asp and apply for both restoration of status and PGWP simultaneously.

I asked call centre agent and they said yes and sent me some information by email regarding change of address but that shows you can change to another Canadian address, not US address? Do you have any idea?

Edit: I called them again and this time they said it has to be a Canadian address only and my friend CANNOT mail the document to me as that's not allowed.

I don't know what to do now...

As the CIC agent mentioned, unfortunately that is the only way I know as well. I can understand why CIC considers change of address only within Canada. Its easier for them to keep track of it, if it gets lost in the mail. I think mailing it to the US might complicate things for them.

Having said that, if you had applied for a WP from US or India, then that would have been easier because there's a Canadian embassy there. The only possible scenario I know is by staying put in Canada until you get the PGWP. Also its best you try going to the MPs office with your info rather than sending them an email. Personally in such situations, I dislike emails because they give the secretary or MP an opportunity to ignore your email or answer you when they feel like.

But when you go there physically, and show frustration, disappointment, show urgency and explain your situation and why you have to go back to India ASAP, then the MP's office will be obliged to help.

Of course not all MPs are helpful, but you have to give it your all. Why? Because that PGWP means something to you. Best of luck. Don't give up yet.

Didn't you call CIC asking for what's wrong with your file....??

I called then number of times. They said file is all good and still under review. They had submitted a reminder when processing time passed but now when I am calling them they are not able to do anything as the reminder is already sent. Really frustrated with the whole situation now.

Contacted MP yesterday lets see if something happens, I am on verge of loosing my job already...

I called the call center and inquired about the status of my application. The call center agent seemed rushed and frustrated which I completely understand. He informed me that he sent a flag to the office that is processing my application and apparently that "action" is all he could do for me. He referred to what he did as an "action" for the remainder of the phone conversation. He also mentioned that I am not allowed to call the center for another 3 months since the "action" performed is everything they could do. He absolutely made it clear that I should not call them back till December 16th about this application. This kinda freaked me out :'( Has anyone else been told the same thing?

Also, he mentioned that when MPs call it results in the same "action" (I personally think what he said is not true because of the information that other people on this form got from their MPs). Should I contact my MP? or should I let it go and wait it out?
