TRV is going to take less time anyway because it is based on your WP/SP ...
mine just took about 10 days i applied last year dec2014
So it doesn't make big difference....
But obtaining PGWP last year was taking 3 weeks-month, so unfortunately, 10 days for visa in December 2014 is not related to what might happened now..

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
online..
i would suggest online because its less time taking and no risk of document loss while in transit and you dont need wait or track delivery confirmation...

This is my timeline

Applied online: July 3rd (paid full amount)
Blank updat: Oct 12th
Approval : 3rd Nov
Mail delivery: Waiting

Check my status constantly since last blank update, this morning when I woke up, I checked my CIC again, got an other blank update but no email sent to me. "Detail" still showed " submitted". And then 3 hours later which was just 15 mins ago, checked my CIC again. "Detail" showed " updated", clicked in to see details, showed " Open". Then I went back to previous page. The "Detail" showed " Approved" ! From this time of period, I did not get any email alters from CIC. All I did was checking my CIC manually. After 4 months waiting, I finally got my PGWP today.

Good luck to everyone here!!!

PS. I live in B.C.

I only called them once in October when processing times passed May 13th. The agent said she has put in a request, and I will have to wait.

Life is on hold (SIN is expired, BC MSP is expired). There is nothing we can do without this work permit. CIC and concerned people should look into this.
So basically they are of no help even when it is well past the date. Just ridiculous, don't know what to do anymore.

I just logged in to CIC and saw under detail fro my application it said "Updated", I opened it and everything was the same, but when I went back to the main page it was "Submitted" again. Am I going crazy or does that happen? Does it mean anything?

It means an officer is looking at your application. I asked CIC to confirm and this is what they said. I've had two of those so far.

May 2nd applicant here. I'm in the exact same situation as you. Having gone through successful interviews only to be told (understandably) they are in no position to wait for my work permit - (No sin, no BC MSP) what can we do, but to have CIC continue to not give much concern for our wellbeing :(

I applied on July 1st. The status changed to approved today and after a while the case was closed and it states that the application is approved. However I did not receive any approval letter. Is this normal ? Can any one please clarify ? Thanks in advance for the help and good luck for every one who is waiting for the PGWP approval.

Hi guys. I saw some people got approval under their MP's help. So I tried to send an email, I got reply from her caseworker in second day. She sent an inquire to CIC officer regarding my application. I submitted on May 19, CIC officer told her that my file has a review date of November 21, I will be allowed to inquire for a new update a month after the review date. . I am wondering if this means after Nov 21, I should be still awaiting??? I am so depressed and upset while this long time awaiting. My friends who applied on May 12, recieved PGWP a month ago and she did not pay full amount, who applied on middle of June also received PGWP. Why are they processing June and July applications while May applicants are still awaiting? I have no offense to anyone who applied after JUNE, JULY. I just don't understand what CIC's processing rules are.

And she also told me that I am in implied status , but I have no longer right to work because I am not no longer a student, and I have right to stay in Canada. I am confused now, I thought if we applied PGWP before study permit expire and within 90 days graduation, we are allow to work. is it right???Someone help me please. My study permit(combined with off campus work permit) expired on July 30.

By the way, you guys keep saying Blank Update, what is it mean? During the summer, I received emails with update, but when I log in MyCIC, nothing there, is this meaning blank update?

Do we have any other way to push CIC officer???
