Hello everyone, I'm new on this forum....
My questions are:
1- I'm going to Venezuela this friday (Oct 16th) for two weeks, on my way back, if at that time i don't have any replay, should i request the PGWP to the CBSA?
2- If i get the approval before come back (Nov 1st) will i be ok to enter to Canada with my student or visitor visa?
3- My wife is coming with me, does she qualify to get a work permit by CBSA?
If the answer for questions 1 and 3 is YES, which documents should i have with me?
Como estas Guille,
1. The documents you need to apply for a PGWP.
a) Valid SP
b) Confirmation Letter from your DLI stating that you've completed your studies
or Official Transcript
c) Passport
d) $255 for you as the principal applicant
2. Once yours has been processed, the CBSA officer will then process your wife's SOWP.
a) Her Valid TRV
b) Marriage certificate (if applicable) or Common-Law Status document signed by a Notary Public (if applicable).
c) Passport
d) $255 for her SOWP
3. Depending on what CBSA Officer you are talking to, other documents you might need are;
a) Health Insurance Card
b) Canada residence address info
c) If you already have a job and it falls under NOC 0, A or B, its imperative that you have;
i) a letter from your current employer confirming employment or a copy of your employment offer or contract.
ii) a copy of one of your payslips.
3(c) is usually asked for in order to process your wife's SOWP. I included it so that you avoid surprises.
