I had a talk with them last month. They said that everything is OK with the file. In case they want anything else they will contact me. And said the same that processing time is 7 months.

Hey one more question: In case SINP requests anything, do we get email from them under correspondences in the application? Or on our regular email addresses?

sometimes they don't send e-mail mistakenly or intentionally, whatever else. u have to check ur application "under correspondences" regularly.

Hi Everyone,

I have a very specific query regarding my file. I hope somebody can help.

I am already in Canada. Studied in Ontario for a year, then moved to Saskatchewan in 2013 on open work permit. But the Sinp rules changed at least 4 times during my one year so I couldn't file for my SINP.

Then I got a closed work permit with subway in Regina, Saskatchewan. But, CIC made a mistake while giving me the work permit. I had applied for the sandwich artist position with minimum payrate of $10/hr. But CIC issued me the Food Service Supervisor work permit, for which I needed atleast $13/hr pay rate to file for sinp. My employer was not willing to pay extra as everybody was working on the minimum wage. I was forced to resign in April, 2015. I am legally not allowed to work for anyone else because of the closed work permit.

Because I lost the job, I didn't have the minimum settlement fund 3 months prior to date of application which is 24th September. Since this category opened all of a sudden, my relatives helped me with $10,450, deposited on 24th September itself.

The query I received from the Sinp officer is : we want to see settlement funds 3 months prior to the date of application, that is June 24- September 24.

While applying I had written a letter stating my position.

I am.not sure how to answer this query. Can you please help me out?

My closed work permit is still valid till 8th August 2016. I can legally stay in the county but not allowed to work for anyone else.

Well the only option, I can see is to send them your bank statement prior to the date of application. Doesn't matter if you'd had $3000 or $4000 in your account at that time or none at all. Have you maintained your account balance since sept 2015 to until now? If yes, then you have something to backup your excuse. You can say that a friend or someone borrowed money from you or you were sending money back home. As SINP was scheduled to open in Jan 2016 and you weren't expecting it to be opening too soon, you haven't maintained your balance. But when your application was in, you asked your friend to give your money back and maintained your account balance till now. If you'd had the required balance at some point in the year before applying, it could be of great help to support your claim. Obviously the outcome depends on your case officer but remember they are human too and like most of the humans they too have monetary problems. They also know very well that Sept 15 intake was unannounced (you must mention this in your email). They might also understand the fact that how foreign workers live here and support their families back home OR that people often invest money in their home countries as exchange rates gives them good payback.
