Hello everyone,

I'm putting my application for FSWP together but not sure if Ghana VO will accept my property (land) valuations as proof of funds. Can someone please clarify?

Once it is valued correctly and can readily be converted into a liquid form(cash),that will be fine.
Note-It is not VO in Ghana that will review your initial application.

Step 1:Find out if you are eligible-http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who.asp

Step 2:If you are eligible
Go ahead and evaluate your academic credentials with ICAS/WES/CES.
Go ahead and write IELTS General training exam with the British Council

Step 3:Once Step 2 Results are available provided your profession is not capped yet
Complete the application forms and get the supporting documents-http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/skilled.asp

Step 4:Submit completed forms and supporting documents to CIC,Centralized Intake Office,Sydney NS,Canada.

Thanks Ksa0510, I'll get the evaluations done right away. I got a hint that 3 different evaluations was required, is that true? The land was purchased from a LASG sheme and I have the C of O already.

Have to now think of how to show it can be readily converted to cash. Any help from anyone?

That is not true.You only need one evaluation and I will suggest you use ICAS please.

Thanks Ksa, I'll await ur response. About the evaluation, I was actually referring to evaluating the value of my landed property. I already have my academic credentials evaluated with WES.

1) Proof of Funds: I am considering putting USD in my domiciliary account as my proof of funds, I am worried about the conversion rates not being favorable by the time the application is processed. Or will they use the exchange rate as at the time of application or the rate as at the time of processing?

2)Birth Certificate: What type can be used in place of the one issued at the hospital of birth, my mom has applied for an Attestation of Birth from the national population center and I hope that is sufficient.

3)Fee payment: What method would you all recommend, I currently have a GTB MasterCard and I typically use it for online transfers and shopping while in Europe. However, it did not work for WES. So is a Bank draft the safest option? though you lose out on actually knowing when you application is under process

4)Pay slips: Do I have to provide pay slips for my previous jobs as well(it will be a big hassle to get them), I can provide for my current one though.

Any answer/advice regarding my questions will be highly appreciated. TIA

You can use your dom account once you can get at least $11,500 in it.

Yes,NPC Birth cert is fine

Please raise a bank draft in Canadian dollar at GTB headquarters for your FSW application payment

Payslip is not mandatory but ensure you submit your copy of job letter along with your reference letter.Also if you can get leave letters that will be fine as well.Yes,you can provide your current payslip if you have it

You can't use academic evaluation pls.You must get an evaluation for FSW from WES.

I do not have huge fund in my bank account, but I do have a property valued at 22 Million Naira which I have put up for sale. Is there any way I can get a financial institution or any firm to value the property so as to enable me to use it as Proof Of Fund?

Please don't put your property up for sales now.
How large is your family?
Base on this I will be able to tell you best way to go
about the settlement fund.
