OWP/PR package received by CIC: Feb. 15, 2016
AOR received through email: March 23, 2016
application start processing: March 22, 2016

I'm single with no kids and applied under the old pathway/24 mth option.

If you are a single applicant they will process it early. But if you have dependents they need to
do lots of stuffs. Anyway are you a single
applicant?

My friends told me its just easy. They will ask if you cross US border or to other countries, if you commit crimes, if you work wothout valid work permit, if you attended school without student permit, if you work to other employers even your not suppose to. They will also ask if your going to get your dependents, if you get married during stay her in Ca. If you got sick like mental problems or HIV. If you work as a prostitute.


Some says you will get your PR after 2-3mos butttt some didnt recieve it even its past 2-3mos already. Thats why before going out the country you should have a valid VISA.

I am a single applicant but I havent even gotten the AOR! and I applied on March 17! I now sent an application for a temporary work permit since mine is expiring in May and, it is ok to have implied status for a couple of months but what if they do not open my application for months to come?
I dont understand what is happening with y application

Good news. Got the letter from the embassy and medical letter for my son yesterday, May 4th.

Timeline:
Submitted: Dec. 19th
Received: Dec. 21st
AOR: Jan. 27th
OWP: April 8th (only gave 3 mths till end of June as copied from my old passport)
called embassy as I filed OWP using my new passport
OWP: April 21: received new OWP with 2018 expiry
Letter and Medical Request: May 4th


Applied using the old program, 3900 hours. divorced single mom with 10 years old son.

God is good!

Hi,

Just like to ask. Can you apply for OWP/PR 2 weeks before the expiration of your WP? I'm planning to apply thru option 2. my employer didn't want to renew our contract hence i cant extend my permit. I completed the required hours but my 2015 NOA wont be arriving until the next 2 weeks. my permit will expire on june 4. any suggestions?

Did they request you to do your medical too? Or just your dependents? People are bugging me about this. I have heard that only dependents are requested to undergo medical but some people are persistent. I just want to know.
