Hi Friends,

I have got my AOR from Sydney NS in october and now i am preparing my full application for CHC SINGAPORE.

I am presently working as a "Software Constultant" in SINGAPORE. My previous job in INDIA was "Project Manager".

I joined my previous organization and Project Team Lead (I have appointment letter) and I was promoted as Project Manager (I have promotion letter)

Now today while reading all these documents I have seen these appointment letters says i am appointed/promoted as/to this position in the organization with all other details like basic salary and othr details around two pages each. but the word permament/full time is not in the appointment/promotion letters.

BUT I have the experience letter from the above organization which says i joined as permament position of Team Lead and was promoted to permanent position of Project Manager and job responsibilities of last held position of Project Manager, its a two page document.

My Questions:

1. Is the Above scenario correct.
2. Will word "Permanent position" in experience letter only will work for me.
3. My experience letter as Project Manager contains around 7 points of responsibilities and i have taken all of these for the initial approval from Sydney NS. Is it sufficient.

Guys please answer me asap
Regards,
Pankaj

Pankaj,

Ur case is perfectly fine. The exp letters, appt letters & promotion notifications will do. U don't need to have a letter stating 'permanent or temp'. The job timeline that u produce will be satisfactory. U may like to attach ur pay stubs though, which'll justify ur claim thru monthly - continous salary.

Bro, go for it, safely.

I think your employment contract should include details of type of your employment (e.g. Full time, part time, etc.) or at leats number of working hours per week or month

If your experience letter says that you are a permanent employee then I think that is enough proof that CHC can ask for. You can still wait for the seniors to respond, but in my opnion you are good to go for the next stage.

All the best. I have also applied under 0213, waiting for my AOR.

In my opinion as long as your experience letter says you are a project manager with the responsibilities and the time line that should be fine. One more suggession: if you have a visiting card with designation, attatch that one as well. Even if it was for your role in India. Hope this helps.

You need to send the following documents:

1. Employment Contract
2. Reference Letter which should state your current position and work experience in the company along with job responsibilities with the business card of your manager who will sign the letter. The immigration officer may call your manager in order to verify the information stated in the letter.
3. Salary Certificate duly signed and stamped by your employer

These documents are enough to support your case from work point of view.

Is it permissible to have the reference letter signed by any peer/colleague and not a reporting manager?

Salary slips are usually given electronically (online) these days. At least that's the case with my current and most of my previous employers. I might not even have the salary slips of my previous employers for whom i'd worked till 2006. even for those i have, it is not possible to get them signed or stamped. In soft copy format, they would just have the company logo. At least with my current employer i can request the HR to sign/stamp the salary slips but what about the previous employers?

You only get experience letter from your previous employers and not salary certificate. Incase of current employer you need to get all the three documents because it will show your current status in the company.

Thanks Sunny

Any idea about this: Is it permissible to have the reference letter signed by any peer/colleague and not a reporting manager?

It should be from your line manager and not from anybody in order to keep yourself in a safe side.
