Length of staying in Canada with visitor visa

Hi there
Did anyone stay in Canada for several months, leave it and come back pretty soon?
Was it ok?

I'm gonna visit my wife (student) and now I have visitor visa. I wanna stay in Canada for 3-4 months but then I will have to come back to my country for a week or two. Nad then I wanna go back to Canada

Will it be a problem?

Probably you will be severely questioned as you are not "visiting", you are living with your wife.

Most probably you will be given a shorter stay, like 2 months.... or maybe nobody will care.... its a matter of luck.

Should I better do it from Canada or from my country? I mean - apply for OWP
