Leaving Canada while waiting for permanent resident card

Hello everyone.
First, I would like to say that I've already read a lot of similar posts here regarding the title. But I haven't found anyone with the situation similar to mine.
Here is my situation.
Recently I and my spouse came to Canada, NB. We participated in 'Provincial Nomination Program' and we both have W1 visa and open work permit. Also I would like to mention that I came to Canada with support of local company and I'm employed right now. My wife is not.
And now my wife needs to fly back to Russia. She was at the last year of study at the university when we had departed and she would really like to finish her study and get a diploma. Is she allowed to leave the country right now and more importantly will she be able to came back? Judging by responses in all related posts i've read it is a very high risk to leave Canada while you are waiting for PRC. It is really so no matter the reasons you have to go back? Also she is planning to leave for ~ 2 months.
Also even she will be allowed to enter Canada again, will her PRC application be canceled?

Hey. Not exactly the information I was looking for, but nevertheless I guess the conclusion is: no matter the reasons I went back, it is always a risk to leave, even if you have everything required to enter Canada back.

Your post isn't clear. You say you are here on open work permits and also say you are waiting for PR cards. Either you are a foreign worker or a PR. Which is it? Do you mean that you have applied for PR and are waiting for that app to be processed?

Hi. Sorry if I wasn't clear. Yes, we both have work permit and we applied for PR. And yes, now we are just waiting for PR application to be processed.
And now while I'm working and we are waiting for PR card my wife would like to come back to Russia and finish her study.

With a valid work permit and TRV, she should have no issues returning to Canada when she has finished up in Russia.

CanI ask you one more question please? What if she'll go to Russia and come back like 3 times (now, in January and in May)? Is it okay to leave the country so often?

That should still be fine. She should carry her Russian school documents, proof of funds, proof of the PR app and any proof of a Canadian job/lease/etc.
