Hey. I'm Polish and I married Canadian guy. We have a beautiful daugter together. We applied for my permanent residence status on September. I really, really would like to go to Poland, cause non of my family members met my daughter yet :'( I miss all of them so much and it seems like I don't understand why I can't leave the country - I'm married and we have a child together. Is there any chance I could go to Poland before I've been aprroved?
Leaving Canada while waiting for permanent residence - any chance?

Hey! Yes, I applied inside Canada. I'm just on visitors visa right now, it will be expire on December 31 this year, but we are going to extend it this week. I'm reading that it could take up to 18 months... I hope we don't have to wait that long... We got married in 2011 but couldn't send my papers just yet and I'm hoping there won't be any issues with that ???

I have no idea, some people I was talking with who applied from here said it took them 9 months, others 16 moths. I really would like to go to Poland, but I won't if there is possibility they won't let me back. Also, I read there is two steps while processing your papers - first takes up to 6-9 months and second another 9 moths (if I remember correctly). So can I leave after passing first step? Sorry If I'm asking silly question

You are from a visa exempt country, that is about the only thing going for you in this situation. If you decide to leave Canada for any reason and upon re-entry you are refused then your application will be deemed abandoned. Your family will have to come visit you or you will have to wait until your process is done.
I doubt it will take 18 months however being as CIC states 6 months for stage 1 and 8 months for stage 2. So more likely 14 months and Inland has been getting quicker. Infact this year it has sped up dramatically so maybe you will be done between 10-12 months. However this doesn't help your situation but when filing inland a baby should certainly have been 1 of the factors whether to choose outland or inland.

Out of curiosity being from Poland why did you choose inland?? Poland is the fastest stated VO of anywhere in the world. If ever there was an application that screamed outland, then yours is it.

I applied inland just because I was still on working visa in here while I got pregnant with my then husband-to be. I won't be lying - it was suprise for us it happened so quick. He wanted me to stay in here so he could be by my side while I was pregnant

Still, it would have been your right to apply outland even while you were living in Canada. It is always your right to apply outland. However, you didn't so you are stuck with that.
With inland, it is a requirement that you reside in Canada. If you leave, you risk that as you come back, the immigration officer will say that you are not really visiting, hence they can not let you enter as a visitor. If they turn you back, you are no longer residing in Canada and therefore you lose your application.

The truth is that my husband was taking care of all of that papers. It really just sucks when my mom is calling me crying she can't see and cuddle her grand daughter... Same with the rest of the family. But we need to suck it up and just wait... There was so many issues already, I couldn't do my x-ray while I was pregnant, but we did medical exam and now I'm scared they won't pass that, cause I did it last year... I realize we might have some problems with that as well... eh....

You could risk it and go visit your relatives, and hope you would be let back in. You probably would be, if you don't need a visitor visa (I don't think Polish citizens do). You only applied in September, so if they didn't let you back in, you could reapply outland. You would not have lost much time, and you might end up being approved faster anyway.
