Hi I'm hoping someone can help me.

I came to Canada on may 14th from the US which is visa exempt. I came here to get married and planned on applying for Sponsorship (through husband) about a month and half before my expiry date (Nov 14) I sent in an extension application explaining we were going to apply for sponsorship. I haven't heard back from CIC yet and have been in Canada on implied status. After we sent in the extension we had some things come up and due to that we decided we weren't going to apply for sponsorship and I'm going to go back to the US and apply to sponsor him. He will stay in Canada and keep working until our paperwork is finished in the U.S.
I have a complete copy of everything I sent with the extension application. Will I have trouble at the border since I'm going back to the US before I hear back about my extension?

Thanks for the answers!

As a US citizen you should be OK.
Yes i'm a U.S citizen. I came for the allotted 6 months and applied for a visitor extension so I haven't resided here in Canada illegally. Just a change of plans and now I want to go back to the U.S
