Hello, sorry for the throwaway account. I have a few colleagues that browse CanadaVisa regularly and I'd rather avoid using my real account.
I'm currently on a CWP with my employer for 9 months now. My CWP will expire in 4 months (because of my passport expiration date). So I already gathered all the necessary information to renew my permit in order to stay in Canada. There's no need to issue a new LMIA or any interaction with the employer, according to IRCC.
However, I've received an offer from a US company to work remotely for them (and I would like to stay in Canada). So here goes my question: What happens if I decide to quit my job during my CWP extension process? Can IRCC revoke/refuse the extension if my employer decide to call them to say I'm no longer working in their company?
I'm asking because my employer is known for "look for revenge" against people that left the company before, imagine lawsuits and such. If there's any chance that I can get my visa declined, I would just chill out for now.
Thanks for all your help, you guys rock!
