Layover at Toronto, destination Montreal, would I face any problem?

Going to Montreal for Masters in Concordia, can I have layover in Toronto airport, or would it be better to make Montreal as Port of Entry, because there are no direct flights to Montreal.

I know I need do immigration at Toronto.

Nothing except immigration and catching your flight to Montreal

Not a problem just have anough time to catch the next flight remember you will get study permit at first POE so there could be a delay.
