Latin to English translation of diploma for PR

My bachelors diploma is in Latin. Has anyone used an online service to request a Latin to English translation by a certified translator?

My understanding is that several English-language Universities produce diplomas in Latin. I wasn't under the impression that this particular thing would require translation...

I requested an English translation directly from my school, which also provides Latin diplomas. They should also be able to provide that, no need for a certified translator.

Yeah, but it's pretty clear in the rules that all documents must be either in English or French; and if not, they should be translated.

In my applicatio, I also provided english translation of my diploma from my school. But i also included the original diploma in tagalog. Im worried that I made a mistake of including the original diploma in tagalog? Do you think its fine? Thanks!

Original is a must. You did the right thing.

I received the diploma in Latin, and an english translation. However, the english translation does not contain my name but contains blank space to fill out. I think they just print english translation in bulk and included one with each diploma for reference.

Will this work for submission to CIC or do I need to get my diploma translated by a certified translator?

If it was issued by your school, it should be OK.

I actually did quiet a lot of things..

1. Photocopy latin degree with name and everything on it at the UPS Store and had UPS employee(Notary) sign it as true copy.
2. Sent the scanned copy of signed True copy to Translation Agency of Ontario . Had them translate the latin document to English. They will sign the translation and also provide an affedevit.
3. Also attached the university provided translation but that was missing name etc(it was generic provided same document to all)

Whether I needed to do all of it - idk. But I chose not to take any chance.
