I've just read in one of the forums that GCMS notes usually do not have results of security check inside? Is it true?

My intension to request GCMS notes is to find out whether my security check is over or not. The rest is more or less clear.

Plz advise

Is it acceptable if the credit card I use to pay the CIC fee of 5 CAD is of a different Canadian resident than the person who is applying for the info on my behalf? Please advise. Thanks

All you need is your relative's help (use their credit card for the $5 payment, and use their address for applying). Apply on CIC website directly.
You will fill the forms, Scan them and send to relative by email and they apply on your behalf right away.
Give your email address to the relative so they can submit that email address to order GCMS.
CIC sends GCMS by email so then you will receive them in your email......they don't send papers or CD anymore. It's email.
Quick and easy and reliable.

Don't go to these non-cic websites for this. You have relative they can help u to apply.

first of all, congratulations, ur eligibility is passed which is major and first step
2nd about the status, VO have different status such as in progress, review required, completed, etc. this is VO internal communication system to inform progress to each other. don't worry about this.
your background security checks are started but not updated, and vo will review ur file on 16 Dec 15 for any progress. suppose ur security is passed on this due date, vo will update it, and give u next due date for medical or criminality or other things.

when u will get the visa, this status will be changed to : Complete,
then there will not review required at GCMS

when visa is issued it is issued.... it has nothing to do with review required, then you will have different rights and responsibilities not like present u r holding.
