Good evening,

I just have 3 final questions on my inland application - spousal before I send it off in the morning. I was hoping someone would be able to answer them:

1. IMM 5443 - In the "for the applicant and his or her dependant children" section would I put an "X" in the box for "birth certificate or Canadian citizenship certificate for any dependant children"? I do have a 5 month old son that was born in Canada (I am the only one applying for residency). I do intend of sending a copy of his birth certificate, I'm not sure if I should put an "X" or N/A here.
2. IMM 5443 - Original police certificates. I have police certificates from the beginning of the year. I am sending them in along with a cover letter saying that i am applying for a new FBI check and will send it in ASAP. Should I put an "X" in this box?
3. Should all of the IMM forms when printed have the grey background box? I have had some issues with my printer and half have printed with the grey box and half haven't.

Thanks!

Thanks Ponga! I spoke to 2 different people at the CIC call centre and they both said that they needed to have received the police certificates within 3 months of them being issued. I have applied for a new FBI check and Australian police check.

Are you able to answer my other questions?

This is because the staff at the Call Centre are usually not aware of recent changes, such as this. I could say more about what the staff `doesn't know', but...I'll just leave it at that.

Here what the new policy states:

For the country you currently live in, the police certificate must be issued no more than six months before you apply. This doesn't apply to you unless you are living in The U.S., or Australia, right?

For countries where you have lived for six months or more, the police certificate must be issued after the last time you lived in that country. This does apply to you and clearly means that a PCC older than 3 months is in fact valid.

To answer your other questions:

1. Write N/A.

3. Not sure that I understand the question, sorry.
