Well, so here is my frustrating experience with flagpole. I will write in short sentences and in sequence so it's easy to read:
- Arrived at the Lewiston-Queenston border crossing at 10pm from Toronto.
- They asked me to go into the building because they said the process would take longer because I was from Iran!!!!
- They kept me there for two hours! they would come back to me here and there and ask questions. They even did a full biometrics, fingerprints and photo
-by the time I left and got to the Canada border it was 12:15am and they told me that they only do flagpole until midnight. the officers told me they also don't do flagpole on the weekends.
This was an extremely frustrating experience for me. There was absolutely no reason for the US border to keep me for 2hours. Now I have to go back and do this all over which is very frustrating. Just wanted to vent here.
On a positive note, I am almost done with the PR process which I am grateful for.
