+1(514) 937-9445 or Toll-free (Canada & US) +1 (888) 947-9445
Thank you so much. I will probably go for that option and also bring my statements from the USA in addition to the draft.

Dear Qorax
We are planning to land in September 2011.I am working on the idea of going a week or two ahead of my family,so that I have a more mobility in finding residence .Since I am going alone as a principal applicant, should I furnish the list of goods to follow or my wife should also bring the same list again or can bring a different list..
As I would have landed earlier , countdown for getting my PR card starts right when I landed myself or the process would start collectively when my family would land later. Please comment and oblige.
Thanks.

1. The B4 facility is for the 1st 'landing' by the PA [singly or jointly with one or more of his dependents]. One time & 1st time only.

2. Subsequent 'landing' by the dependents do not get this facility... meaning: No other form is required/permitted. Thus, hence & furthermore - there's no way of modifying/separating/renewing that B4 [GTF list].

3. PR cards r based on 'indiv. filing' by each landed immigrant. As u land - your PRCs would be initiated... similarly, as the other family members land - theirs would be worked upon. When we chose to enter Canada separately - each one of us would receive our PR cards separately.

You have been so helpful as always
Thanks.

Does anyone know if I have to apply for the Health Card after landing?

I plan to stay in Calgary for several days, will move there permanently next year. I know I need to pay $88 for the Health card per month. So I think it would be better to apply for it after I move there permanently.

Thanks.

Apply your health card when you moved there for good because you would also need an address in that province.

YES. The B4 -- another set of it.

Captain Qorax and seniors;
I have been issued a demand draft from Abu Dhabi Islam bank of 20,000 CAD to a bank in Toronto. Can you please advice if this is acceptable proof of fund ( for three family members) at POE? (Please note that the Proof of fund submitted with my application documentation was a bank statement from the same bank). Appreciate your responses. Many thanks.

Dear Qorax,

Along with my family we had done our landing in May 2011 and returned back to kuwait after 10 days. Now we are going to settle in Canada in first week of October 2011. My son is studying in class VI and I have taken his transfer certificate from the Indian school here. Do I have to get it attested by Indian embassy in Kuwait to obtain admission for my son in canada school.

Also would appreciate if you could advise me how much money each member can carry during our second entry and we can declare it at canada airport and not get taxed on this additional money we carry.

Big Thanks

1. No. It doesn't require to be attested by anyone.
2. U can bring-in as much as u desire / deem fit, individually or as a family -- there's no questions asked.
3. The only requirement is to 'declare' anything at or over $10K... that's due to anti-money laundering act.
4. And that declaration doesn't affect u - it doesn't attract any duties/levies/taxes.
