I didn't give them photos of each jewelry separately. I printed A4 sized papers with 4 pictures per page (3 columns) with descriptions. I also attached receipt from local jeweler who weighed them. I did color printing of these pages. They may have stamped at each page (not individual photographs), but they returned one copy to me.

Yeah, you can do it in Excel too. They just want information compiled in an organised way. They never checked jewelry and never opened our bags. We had 15 to 20 bags.

Can we carry gold coins same way as we do for jewelry???

I have a query

Under Jewellery section if I am not carrying any jewellery with me in the luggage but instead wearing it. Do I still need to click pictures and fill it in the form and get a valuation certificate from the jeweller? Please help its urgent as I am landing next week.

It is not wise to wear jewellery because every time you have to take it off and put it in trays before passing through scanners. So might be chances of getting it lost. you can carry your jewellery in your hand carry and its all safe. Do take photos and they might ask you for that and might stamp those. In my case they never bother for anything. never ask for good accompany list or POF, but sure stamp goods to follow list.
Again don't put anything on yourself because even you have to remove your belts and put them in treys. Time was short and due to lengthy lines at security one will get over stressed to look after kids and the hand carry stuff. Also do not carry in your hand carry any pointed or sharp things or liquids.

You can carry anything do mention in your list only with estimated price you think which is most in CAD.

Thank you once again XpressEnterprise +1 for you...

I have one more query which is regarding insurance for initial 3 months, I have explored https://arbetovinsurance.com, however there are multiple insurance providers (Destination Canada, Travelance, Allianz, Tugo....). Can you please suggest me which insurance provider is a good one to select...

Please reply with your valuable inputs.

Thank you very much...

Hi,

I would like to ask regarding POF upon landing. Is it possible just to have latest bank statement and certification than to carry cash? Just in case they will ask for POF? Anyone who had experience this? Thank you.

Hello All,

I just recieved my COPR. I and my wife are currently living in U.S.A. Both of us are planning to complete our landing process in Vancouver,BC from May 2,2016- May 8,2016. On May 9, we are planning to return back to U.S.A. I have 3 queries based on this situation as below:

(1) Even if I don't plan to settle down in Canada until at least February 1,2017, Do I still have to show "proof of funds" which is Canadian $15,214 for 2 family members at the time of landing? Isn't proof of funds ONLY needed to be shown if we are going to PERMANENTLY settle in Canada after landing there?

(2) Since I am not planning to permanently move to Canada until February 1,2017, Do I still have to open a bank account and apply for health card? Can't I just complete my PR landing process and return to U.S.A on May 8,2016 WITHOUT applying for health card and opening a bank account?

(3) My province for landing that I mentioned in my application is Vancouver,BC. But I don't have any friend or relative staying in Vancouver. Hence I will be putting down the address of my friend in Toronto where my and my wife's Canadian PR cards are supposed to be mailed? Is that OK?

I would HIGHLY appreciate any responses to my queries above!Thansk ahaead of time!!!

No. You MUST carry proof of funds while "landing" - that is, when you are entering Canada to activate your PR status. The officer might or might not ask for it but it is prudent to carry the funds. In case the officer asks for it and you don't have the funds, you can be denied entry.

No, you need not necessarily open a bank account or apply for a health card when you do your first landing.

Check this --->

http://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/health/health-drug-coverage/msp/bc-residents/eligibility-and-enrolment/how-to-enrol

So, you need to be physically present in BC for at least 2 months before you can apply for a health card.

and this --->

http://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/health/health-drug-coverage/msp/bc-residents/eligibility-and-enrolment/are-you-eligible

You need to be physically present in BC for at least 6 months in a year to enjoy the benefits of free healthcare plan that the province is offering.

This is fine - I don't see any problems in doing this.

I have one more query

Few people have told us that we need to carry Immunization records for me and my husband as well, as some work places ask for it. Is it true? Seniors please reply as we are travelling next week.

I am in the process of completing things to follow form. I have a house and a plot in my home country which i will sell and take the proceeds to canada in the next 2-3 years i.e when i settle down a bit. How do i show these properties on goods to follow form. Thanks

I do not think house and plot are goods to follow. When you sell your property late, you will have to pay taxes on capital gains made.

I have an urgent inquiry. Please respond as soon as possible. If the door to door company inform you or your relatives in Calgary to clear customs, tell your relatives in Calgary not to clear customs until your arrival. Upon your landing, submit your prepared B4 form, tell customs that your goods had arrived in Calgary and you shouldn't have to pay any duties.

can i prepare two GTF list one for the shipment that already might have arrived and one for the GTF at later stages
