No one will ask you for any immunization record from you for yourselves. The immunization record for kids is must. You need that when you register your family to doctor and at school. Doctor will ask you for your kids record only and will conduct few tests of your family for his own record. All the things are free. so stay cool.hemishad said:I have one more query
Few people have told us that we need to carry Immunization records for me and my husband as well, as some work places ask for it. Is it true? Seniors please reply as we are travelling next week.
Calculate the charges first, because you will have to pay for the demurrage for the delays. It is wise for you to be here in canada to receive your shipment.Cool Canada said:I have an urgent inquiry. Please respond as soon as possible. I will be leaving India on 14th April and will be staying in UK for 14 days before moving to Canada on 28th April for landing formalities. i want to ship some goods (household items) by courier from India to my relative in Calgary on 10th April. goods will be reaching within 7-8 days and at that time i will be in UK but my relative can receive the cargo on my behalf as it is door to door. can anyone suggest or inform me if i have to pay any duty on these goods? any suggesting to avoid paying duties?
For all insurance companies in Alberta, Visit Finance Alberta website. Check their quotes and also look for their reviews online. That's how I would compare and choose. I can help you with Quebec's one, but I don't have any experience with Alberta's ones.imm2canada said:Thank you once again XpressEnterprise +1 for you...

Please reply with your valuable inputs.

Yes. You can carry any sort of jewelry, as long as you declare it upon landing.abhispat said:Can we carry gold coins same way as we do for jewelry???
When you are "landing", you MUST declare anything you are bringing along. It doesn't matter if you are wearing it or it's stuffed in your luggage. You also need to mention estimated price (in CAD) and their weight. The same goes for any form of currency you are bringing too. You need to understand that they require this information so that they don't TAX you. So, it's for your own benefit.hemishad said:I have a query
Under Jewellery section if I am not carrying any jewellery with me in the luggage but instead wearing it. Do I still need to click pictures and fill it in the form and get a valuation certificate from the jeweller? Please help its urgent as I am landing next week.
First preference is CASH. If you think this would be risky, then take latest bank statements of the last 3 to 6 months. Bear in mind that you are NOT required to carry funds in Cash when you arrive in Canada. However, you must be able to provide documentary evidence which state that:szherick said:Hi,
I would like to ask regarding POF upon landing. Is it possible just to have latest bank statement and certification than to carry cash? Just in case they will ask for POF? Anyone who had experience this? Thank you.
These Immunization Records are for kids and you need this record for school admission purposes mostly. This link may help you understand much about it : Immunization of Persons New to Canadahemishad said:I have one more query

Technically, you should make only one list of GTF. It can have many pages, but it should be one list. Everytime you receive your items, you get that item crossed from the list and it won't get taxed. I don't think there is a need to have more than one list of Goods to Follow. If your items have arrived and haven't cleared customs, they are still on hold. Once you have landed, you can carry that B4 or B4A form to local shipment facility and claim your items. Just make sure your get your B4 or B4A forms stamped by CBSA officer upon landing. They usually put stamp behind your COPR and also on your GTF listCool Canada said:can i prepare two GTF list one for the shipment that already might have arrived and one for the GTF at later stages
My landing at Montreal Airport was very smooth, however a bit slow. You have to sit for quite a while.szherick said:Hi,
Anyone experienced landing in Montreal?
Just want to ask if POE must be either in 3 Airports only (Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver for 1st time immigrants? is this true? Just heard it from a travel agency. Appreciate your response..
Thank you
Thanks for your response. Any idea how much time i will have to sell my properties and take cash tax free. I will be landing soon and come back after a month. Also can i show cash in goods to follow list?alok4best said:I do not think house and plot are goods to follow. When you sell your property late, you will have to pay taxes on capital gains made.
Money is not "Goods" which will arrive in container. So, you shouldn't write that in list.lively said:Thanks for your response. XpressEnterprise said:Dear FSWON,
(1) Ok
(2) Ok
(3) No. Mention only those items currently in your possession and you plan to bring it to Canada. Serial Number is more important than model number. And also mention their approximate value in CAD. If you are going to buy laptops before landing, you'll definitely be having those laptops with you. So, write down their serial numbers in Goods to Carry list. You must declare your Goods to Follow list upon landing.
(4) Before departing, update your Goods to Carry list and only write those jewelry items which you are bringing with you. The ones you are not bringing, or are planning to sell, can be added in Goods to Follow list. It's not mandatory to bring all the goods mentioned in Goods to Follow list. There is no such thing as 'actual move' when it comes to immigration. The day you 'land' will be written everywhere in documentation.
(5) That depends what you tell CBSA officer upon landing. There is no tax for the money you transfer from other country to your bank account in Canada for settlement purposes. You don't have to declare in advance about the money you are planning to bring (transfer) in the future. Declaration is required if you carry an amount exceeding CAD 10,000/- while you land. Once you land, you become permanent resident. If you decide to move permanently after two years, you must ensure you fulfill 730 days (2 years in every 5-year period) of residency requirement.
Note: If you leave Canada before your arrival of PR card, you may not be allowed to board any return flights to Canada.
