Declaration Card:
1) You will be given a declaration card from the flight crew or you can pick it up at the airport. Instruction can be pick up at the airport as well.
2) If you and your wife are traveling together, then complete one form and sign
3) Since both parties are traveling together and signed one declaration form, then tick "yes". You will be instructed to proceed to sign another form - Currency Declaration form - which the cashier will probably fill that out for you!
4) PR cards will only mailed to a Canadian address
5) No, leave blank if you are no visitor of Canada

Goods to follow:
1) You must use the B4 form with your excel sheets (in case there are not enough room in the form)
2) Put "yes"
Thanks for the reply. Still not clear on the B4..
1) what to fill in additional list of goods column? Movers inventory or other?
2) For goods to follow column.....I should put yes in the Goods to follow list? And leave it blank or No in the goods accompanied list?

Hello,

I am on a visa in US and have to go for stamping for Landing in Canada. I am planning on Landing in Canada in Vancouver. However, I most likely will look for jobs in Toronto.

1. Is it ok to do the short landing in Vancouver and then go to Toronto during the second visit?

2. My relatives live in Toronto. Is it ok to apply for SIN in Vancouver and give Toronto's address for delivery of the card?

Any other issues anybody foresees with this plan? Appreciate your guidance.

Thanks,
Mohit

1. Yes, ofcourse
2. There are no SIN cards anymore. You will get a paper printout with your SIN number immediately upon applying.

Hi Seniors !
I am planning to do landing in Toronto in late July / early August.
Have a few of Qs:
1) I am going to land with my wife and 8 month old. I am aware that I have to take close to 20K CAD. Need to know what instrument (cash / traveller's cheque / or anything else) should be carried.

2) Regarding form B4 : Do I need to declare all that will be brought in next 12 months ? Does this apply to our car which is in New Jersey, USA and my wife will bring it ( the car is in my wife's name) ...

3) In the things listed in B4 form, including the car which is in USA ( and of which my wife is the owner) do I need to pay heavy tax or custom duty ?

Kindly suggest me soon.

Many Thanks in advance...

Regards,
Andy

1) You need to show around CAD$18,617. In terms of form of funds, you can refer to this source

2) Any goods you are bringing at a later date, you must include them in your B4 form. Regarding car, this will help : Listing Car in B4 form when landing?

3) If your car is not included in B4 form, you will need to pay all the taxes incurred. You must also understand that you will also need to Export your vehicle from US and import your vehicle in Canada. Look into following threads

a) US outland applicants' thread :)

b) Re: US outland applicants' thread :)

Look into these threads and study them thoroughly. Your answers are already in there. You just have to be patient and read them thoroughly.

Thanks for clarification and if you can tell me that is it necessary to take photos and print of all the jewellery worn by us and declare it in these forms while landing.
Topic Already Discussed

Re: LANDING IN CANADA ??? -All You Need To Know.

Note : Any expensive items you are carrying must be included in B4 forms. Jewelry is considered expensive, therefore must be included. Plus, you must bring two copies of photographs for jewelries. (You can put items in batch, e.g. 'rings' in one section, 'necklaces' in another section, etc)

If you somehow mistakenly believe this process not to be necessary/important, you may want to prepare yourself for paying duty charges on these items at the border

Landing in Canada - Can I still keep my job in Home country for a while?

Hi All,

I am outlander and am planning to land in Canada in the last week of July. I currently am working in a job in my home country and am planning showing my bank account (including my salary account of my current job) as proof of funds (12000 CDN) when I land in Canada.
However I have not resigned my current job and plan to return to my home country and work for a few more months till I find a job in Canada I have few interview processes going, but no luck yet:(.

In this scenario is it OK for me to tell the border official that I am still keeping my Job in my home country or is it best that I resign my current job.

Kindly advice me on this issue,

Many thanks in advance.

Quietly proceed with your landing. Don't give them any information which they don't require.

Fulfill conditions for you PR (2 out of 5 years of residency obligation) and you can come to Canada at any time.
