Can u share more details like how to book and what documents they may need...

Contact the Call Centre 1-888-242-2100 to request an appointment at a local CIC.
The same documents that are required when you land at a border.

Passport, COPR, B4, etc

My employer is not willing to wait till end of july (when I am expecting my passport back from consulate)...
Is there any other way I can go to LA and they can hand over my passport (after stamping)

Dear Qorax,

I've seen this photo specification needed for PR card in cic website, but can you clear the last 3 points if this are really required, do the photographer here in Dubai would know if I show this requirements?

Thanks in advance for all the help.

  • be original photos (not taken from any existing photo);

U don't need to see anything in the website... The PPR letter carries a Photo Spec Sheet for the Photographer... this specs r the ones required for our PR Cards. And every photographer, worth his salt, can print our pics to that size/dimensions if u show them that sheet. My street corner studio@Dubai did it for me in a jiffy.

U need the CV for what?
If it's for applying for PR - note that u don't require a CV for it. Your job ref letters, labour contract, org.chart, work mails/docs etc. suffices. Anything & many things that could prove your 'actual' experience to that NOC.

At the port of entry, do we need to mention that we have not come to Canada for settlement now?!? since we will just stay for 2 wks to apply for the PR cards, Health Card (MB) & SIN.

THanks!

Sure, but Immigration Officer might tell you to get your PR cards at a later time when you are here for good.

Very informative post. Thanks Qorax.

I have some questions:
1. I plan to carry only my personal stuff (clothes, camera, laptops, blank CDs, pre-written DVDs, money, jewelery, utensils etc) during landing. So I understand that all these items must be listed in the "on person" list. Now I will leave Canada after 3 weeks and will return after 6 months for final settlement. Do I have to list any items in Goods to follow list as well in this case ? Most of the things I will carry while landing, I will be taking those items only later as well.

2. Do we need to declare the jewelery items (and carry their pics) when I return to Canada second time ? I suppose that time, I can enter without any formalities as I will have the PRC with me by then.
