Landing in Alberta~ Looking for people to go together

Has anyone done in-land landing at CIC offices in Alberta? Does it take long to get an appointment?

I am still waiting for my passport and copr and expecting getting them next week.

For in-land landing in Calgary, you might want to check the last few pages of the August Thread as we were discussing this topic a bit. I didn't see many fellows on this forum do in land cause it can be slow. But if majority are landing at border the lineup in Calgary shouldn't be too long.

That's my guess too, if everyone is going to the border then the CIC office might not be as busy for in-land

I am doing the inland landing in Edmonton office in 2 weeks. I got my Copr a month ago, called CIC the next morning, it took them 2 weeks to give me an appointment.

Hi all,
Can anyone please advise whether we can return in the next flight just after landing and completing the formalities at the Airport?
I am planning for permanent stay after 2-3 months and hence planning for just the landing formalities before CoPR expires.
Is there any legal obligation to stay any minimum amount of time after landing?

Oh, so it took around a month?

I may not have that much time, work permit expiring by middle of May.

My visa expires in April 22nd! A couple of friends of mine got their appointment 3 days after calling CIC, for me it was a month... But I told the agent that I needed to land before my visa expires so I have an appointment a few days before!

Let them know when you call them!

Update: I have received my passport and copr today. They processed much faster than I expected. Less than 2 weeks!

Looking for a ride too to go landing at AB border, at any time from now on! I am in Calgary and willing to share the cost.

Wow! Great news! When was it delivered at CIC?

Mine was delivered yesterday and I am so hopeful I'll get it back soon!

Sent out same day as I receive the ppr on March 24, delivered on March 29 because of the Easter holiday. Tracker activated on April 5 late afternoon and received them back in April 6 morning in Calgary!

Chances are you can expect yours a week after!
