Hello everyone. I just wanted to provide a little update and see if anyone has any more thoughts....

This afternoon my wife called CIC back and spent 2 hours on the phone to get an update on when she would here back on her interview/landing appointment date. It has been 11 days since she first called when they told her to wait for a call back from the local (Calgary) office for the landing date, which would take place in about 3 weeks. We have received ZERO correspondence back to date with just over a week and a half until the 3 week timeline.

All the CIC told her today was that they cannot send the local office any more messages to the office for another 3 MONTHS ... and that we should have out landing date within the 3 weeks. It sounds very unreasonable that they cannot contact the office for 3 months on our case.

Does anyone have any further guidance/advice? (Other than driving to the border to land)

It is possible we will still get the landing interview date in the next 1.5-2.0 weeks... but it would be nice to have some notice so I can plan my work day around it so I can be there with her to land.

Thank you!

Hi there,

Just wondering if you ever heard back from the local CIC office in Calgary concerning your wife's landing. I'm also considering calling for an appointment because driving to Coutts is gonna be a bit stressful.

Any news guys for your appointment at Calgary cic?

Hi Guys,

I was also planning to do landing at CIC office but I have heard that it takes around 3-4 weeks. We are planning to drive to COUTTS for flagpoling. I sent and email to Ottawa about landing requirements and they said that it is better if I do flagpoling at the border.

Re: Landing at Calgary CIC office

Hi guys,

I received my parents passport with Visa last week. Yesterday I called the call centre to book an appointment to complete the landing formalities at CIC office in Calgary. Call centre told me that the processing time in Calgary is 3 weeks. It was not an urgent request. After just 2 hours, I received an email from Calgary office and they gave me an appointment with in a week. That was quick. I think it is better than driving to the border for completing the COPR

When you called them for an appointment, did they ask you for any specific documents?
I received the PPR and sent my passport to Ottawa last week. I am waiting for my passport now.
Do you think that it would be better for me to take an appointment in advanced?
