Actually the policy according to our Immigration Minister for BC Murray Coell who I talked to yesterday is as follows,Service Canada which has responsibility for Labour Market Opinions has been instructed to cut and slow down approvals to reduce the Number of TEMPORARY FORIEGN WORKERS,but Immigration levels will remain the same.But more selective thus the 38 expedited.Ironically What is happening in some cases,it is EASIER to immigrate then to become a worker.A korean who I assisted was DENIED her work permit renewal and LMO but was APPROVED to immigrate by BC PNP.Likewise An Iranian carpet restorer was denied his temporary work permit but APPROVED to immigrate to Canada under the AEO.Go figure

This means that the guys already nominated to AINP can't really spec to go to Alberta as a temporary worker ? while the application is in CIC

Doesnt affect people Immigrating to Canada,You are fine,More of the Low skilled Temporary workers like Tim Hortons people

That doesn't look good BCGuy. Why would they do that? It's a completly messed up strategy. I guess its quite obvious what they are trying to do.
For people who doesn't require an LMO, would they still have a high probability of having a work permit denied?.

Politics Immigrants now dominate Vancouver,Toronto,Montreal and many other cities Any party that tries to reduce Immigration will be punished at the polls and probably NEVER FORM GOVERMENT.So if you think of reducing immigration,you risk never winning office because the Immigrants will punish you at the polls.So the low skill sectors will be cut But for the SKILLED sector they are fine.So try to think of a couple thousand fast food workers being sacrificed to look good for the rednecks and the Skilled workers in the Health Sector IT etc Canada needs being encouraged to IMMIGRATE TO CANADA

To be honest i don't really care about what job or how much i will earn if i ever managed to move to Canada

To me just being able to live there would be like a dream coming true. Who cares what job i will land initially?

i don't mind being a waiter for a few years until i find my way around

I am guessing now. I guess that their chance of going to Alberta is reduced rather than nill. I am sure the number of workers let in is not zero. Since I am guessing, we should wait for BCGuy to answer. Good luck.

Correct For example Tim Hortons plan to bring in 10,000 temporary workers is gone but IT workers,Nurses etc are fine
