Landed on May 4th, no PR card yet, trip coming on July 13th

Hey everyone, I just have a quick question.. when we landed, the processing time for the PR card was set as 49 days, which would give me enough time to leave Canada on July 13th for a week trip. Now the procesing time is up to 58 days. Would my application be processed within 49 or 58 days?

Also, worst case scenario, my card doesnt come on time and my trip approaches, can I use my valid turist multiple entry visa to return to Canada?

58 days applies to you (plus you have to factor in the mailing times).

Your TRV is no longer valid. To return to Canada, you either need your PR card or a Travel Document.

If you will only visit the U.S. or St. Pierre and Miquelon; you can come back to Canada with a valid study/work permit. No need for a valid TRV.

No you have to apply when you are at the country you are travelling to.

You can only apply for a PRTD outside Canada by mail:

As far as I know, processing time may take more than 7 days.

You cannot apply online, as you have to actually mail your passport with the app.

7 days will not be enough time to mail the app from Hawaii, have it processed and then have it mailed back.

You really should look at changing your travel plans.

If your TRV is not cancelled in your passport, then you can travel.
