I understand there are many forum members already landed in Calgary. May I humbly suggest that we find a suitable day and time in the summer time to have a picnic together in one of the many parks in Calgary and environs? This would afford us the opportunity to meet in person and get to know ourselves.

For those in Ontario particularly within the GTA and environs please we will also be meeting next week Omoge would elaborate on date time and venue but please prepare your mind towards next weekend lets fellowship with one another and get to know ourselves better. Please if you know of any old or newly landed Naija, kindly help spread the news to them. Thanks

For those that tranfered money via bank transfer from Naija bank account to canadian bank account after landing, was there a need to pay tax on the amount transfered aside for the normal bank charges?

Would need to transfer some money after landing and was wondering if i would have to pay tax on this aside the bank charge i would have to pay.Pls you advice would be appreciated.

No, you wont pay any tax if the amount you want to transfer is still within the limit of your declared funds at POE.
