for those plying the Quebec route, please note that the government of Quebec has a body set for credential evaluation
Centre d'expertise pour les formations effectuées dehors du Québec ( CEFEHQ)
at this link:
http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/en/employment/comparative-evaluation/submitting-request/index.html

This is the only form of evaluation recognised for job purposes be it Government or private.
WES et al is not recognised

Good one I had thought WES applies to all!!!

My people this is awesome!!! I can't describe the feeling!!! I have been following this thread since February 2010 and I have never seen this level of activity before. We give God all the praise for answers to prayers and we thank Accra for working all days of the week as against it's usual Tuesday.

I have lost count so I will say a general congratulations to all those with the good news it's such a wonderful feeling after so many months of waiting!!! Am so happy for you all and I trust God to perfect that which he has started concerning you.

@Akerekoro, thanks for asking but Babe Tinuade is yet to get PPR oh she just did medicals in June and going by the statistics it has been between 6weeks to 8weeks so we trust God to do it before August runs out but anything can happen sha!!!

For all those planning to land there is a thread by the title Survivial Arrival on the forum please search it out and digest it, it sure contains a lot of useful information.

Also for people like me who would rather have their kids in Catholic School than public school, I would advise you get your Catholic baptismal card for you or for the kids if it's lost then arrange to get another. This is personal but I would rather have my kids where they would be taught marriage is between Adam and Eve than to be told marriage can either be between Adam and Eve or Adam and Steve!!! Fill in the lines

Cheers all

I got your PM. I will reply soon. I am searching for some useful info before replying you.

The biggest problem in western nations is that they have removed God out of their lives.

If I was not married, I would have enrolled in Tinu's school of marriage. Anyway, I already knew the diff between Steve and Eve. Eve is green and Steve is red. :D :P

Hi everyone,

For those who are interested in landing in Alberta, Calgary to be specific, a woman might be interested in checking out CIWA. It has various nice programs for new immigrant women. Google CIWA (Calgary Immigrant Women Association).

Hi

This might be a rather late question, but what advantage do you get from CIWA over the other Societies that seem to abound in Canada, will look it up as directed, but I know, people with expereince can help brak it down for us.

Thanks

Hello Everyone

Good to see Naija united in a forum like this. I'm quite happy for that.
My application was filed in Feb 2012 and hopefully by God's grace, I hope to land in Canada before the year ends if everything works out.
Please do keep up the good work. I'm highly impressed.

Favour

CIWA has various programs for different people e.g accounting, office administration, child care etc. There's a program called links to success. CIWA accepts mothers aged 19-30,pays for daycare and transport and offers a living allowance for 6 months. 4 months are spent in class, the remaining 2 months is a work placement to help the women get Canadian work experience and work reference.
