Hello Elders,

Thanks for all your timely advice. My wife has just picked up our visas at the accra office and we are planning to land early next year...Though I chose Alberta in the application, I would like to land and settle in Ontario based on advice received so far..
Qtn:
1/ Is it allowed to land in Ontario though I picked Alberta initially?
2/ Is it possible to start applying for jobs now while I am still in Nigeria?

Will appreciate ur response..

1) Yes! You can land anywhere except Quebec.

2) Yes! It might be difficult though cos she might have to physically attend interviews and mediCine is a regulated profession.

I applied under the NOC 3112 in january this year and as yesterday i got a mail to visit the CHC accra to collect the visa.

Pls i would like to land in winnipeg manitoba, pls do you have any advice for me as regards landing and life after. Also can you pls suggest anyone i can network with since we all agree networking is very important.

congratulations on the PPR am so happy for u.
it was really fast. am in Winnipeg Manitoba, Winnipeg is one of the best city to land in terms of Job, life and people.
though the weather is not friendly is the 2nd coldest city in Canada.
you get your health card same day u apply and 2wk after u apply u get ur SIN
they have a lots of good programes for new comers i just finished one where they help u with ur resume, cover letter and job advert sites.
all for free.
transport system is very good with a bus pass for a month at 75$ tax inclusive.
housing is btw 800$ to 1500$
the list job pay 10$/hr
is a nice place to be.
i have met alot of Nigerians during the program and will look forward seeing u in Winnipeg.
i have applied for couple of jobs and have been called for interview.
i wish u all d best.

We are planning to land between 1st & 2nd week of December.
I want to fully integrate into this great naija family.
We will be staying in Brampton on arrival (sister-in-law and family live there)
My area is in management analysis. Recently, I have been involved in project management and Business analysis.
I have an MSc from the UK.
I am presently reading for CBAP (business analyst). I have not register with the exam body yet. Any support will be greatly appreciated.

Congatulations, SHALOM. That was really fast...the fastest i have seen and you are not a PNP. God is good. I will be landing in Calgary in December also (early). We should be able to talk easier then. My wife is into Business Analyssi and Project Management. I believe there is a lot of networking opportunities for us.
