I wish to open my account in bank of NS, do they issue credit card to new account holder? if yes then what is credit limit? As I guess they issue a credit card of 1000 CAD limit, but I also heard that most of the Canadian banks don't issue any sort of card to new comer!!

Kindly advice

Regards

For skilled workers Bank of NS gives unsecured visa $1000.00 credit limit that 100% true. because u bring your funds to the bank anyway, they'll see that. the other banks like RBC,TD they do secured one and lock up for 1 year at least $1000.00 for non-redeemable GIC (investment), so u won't have access to that money
