hello rocky/qorax & others
i have some questions abt post landing
1. is there any uniform like thing for any type of professionals or for labour job i.e. white *censored word* & black trousours in all jobs(ihave heard this thing)
2. is there any allowance for kids & when it is paid by govt. when we land there in canada would it be started from the very first day or later on?
3. what if somebody doesnt get the job, is there any unemployment allowance for newcomers. if yes then how much.
4.does service canada centres also help in getting job to a person who has just done matric.
5. is there any resume needed for labour job also?
any body knows the answer for my queries plz respond
thanks in advance
ramneek

one more thing how much time difference is there in between india & toranto
thanx
1. Uniform you mean dress code then depends upon the organisation and type of jobs some have some doesn't like a Mechanical professional might have and a IT profession might now
2. Yes child tax benefit
3. I would not suggest you to look at that as its not applicable and other if you rely on govt. funds for help then when in future you put your dependents or family application for immigration it causes problems.
4. They help in facilitating like help you to search jobs online and give you internet and a computer at service Canada locations
5. No just a suggestion to make resume as per job only write what is required to do the job

Luck

As far as jobs in canada are concerned, there are lots of jobs available in Canada. For those who are coming to canada in near future must apply for jobs before arrival. A good job site of canada is

Imp Information.

The information what I have gathered so far from my peers and network is that on an average it usually takes 1 year for an immigrant to get a starting/entry job in the specific fields as here employers need Canadian experience.

Thought of sharing

Rocky

Congratulations for getting job. I will be landing in next month. As I posted earlier, I managed to get job transfer (India to Toronto) from my current employer, I have a question regarding mailing address. I will be in hotel for couple of week before moving to apartment. So can I give my employer's address as mailing address for PR? Will IO accpet commercial address (employer's address) as my mailing address.

Else what are the option available? I dont have any friend or relative in Canada. :(

Thanks
Sam
