Hi All

Its been a long time posting for me too. I resubmitted all my police clearances to LA visa offices on Feb 1. Still havent heard anything back. I guess my parcel went to the bottom of the pile. At least I am in Canada now on a visitor visa. I am going on a year wait now in a few weeks. And I see the LA times have gone back to 16 months. I thought they were supposed to get faster not slower with the process or maybe its by design.

We had PPR 2 weeks ago and got passport to LA last week. Waiting to have it back soon.

If our interview is in August and they are not done anything it means it will take additional months?

Depending on your country of origin and travel history. I would give it 4 months for background check before getting itchy. Ours took almost 4 months starting from the official Ecas receipt of the re-medical(5 months from delivery receipt in Ottawa). I hope you won't have to wait upon a successful interview. If you do, it will be brief.
