i told my lawyer that even we should go for re do medicals as we dont know whether they would extend it or not. but he said not until we are told by the VO
i dont know why they say like this. we all want this finish this asap and the VOs do this application thing slowly

if LA has some questions for your husband then hopefully they should schedule your interview very soon or telephonic interview would be good (to save time)
hope this application process goes quick for you..
just hang in there (like all of us :( )

We hired a law firm to handle our case too. And we filed our application to Ottawa. How did you know your application was transferred to LA? Did Ottawa send you or your lawyer an email?

Thanks.

We did not use a lawyer. They are just a waste of money, unless you have some serious issues such as criminality etc. Ours was just routine without any issues. In fact Ottawa seemed to be processing the application in their normal time frame at cpp-Ottawa. We received PPR in the normal time by email informing us that Interview was not required. We complied and waited patiently for COPR. After 4 months of waiting we enquired by email what's going on with our application. After several weeks we received a form reply that our file had been sent to LA. Why we don't know unless it was an administrative error. Our further enquiries by email have been ignored by CIC until now.
