LA Passport Turn Around Time

Guys has anyone sent passport to LA in April and got it back!! Have you notices any deterioration of LA turn around time. Please let us know your experience

Sent on Mar27, received by LA consulate on Mar28. Still waiting. Sent postage prepaid express mail flat rate envelope.

I am so Scared I have to travel on Apr 20th. I sent the passport Yesterday..

I just read in some other forums that LA consulate is being audited. Not sure what that means or if it is true.

Also, do you know of any possible avenue to reach these people? They dont answer phones, they dont reply to emails...atleast not in weeks.

Did you enclose any letter requesting them to expedite the processing.. not sure if that would have helped..

I did not. When I applied, as per the posts on this forum, I had this understanding that LA takes no longer than 2-3 days. But, now I am thinking I should have....

I too submitted my passport on April 1st and have not heard anything from them yet. This seems to be pretty frustrating that people are left in limbo with something as valuable as their passport.

The whole experience of applying for VISA online was not good.
