I don't mind answering. I went to the Kitchener location. I went online and filled out a form, several days later I received received a call from one of the officials and she booked me in. Or you can do walk in too. The lineup can be crazy long so you might want to he there very early. And yes they are taking walk-ins.

Do they check proof of travel? As you are driving to states, what proof did you attach with Passport application?

Well, in my case I just said that I was driving to USA April 8. So, I wasn't asked for proof of travel. I applied for the 10 years one. I had to paid additional 20 dollars because I will be picking it up in person

So with my PR card expiring in August and the 3-4 month processing time I finally decided to reapply for that, fully expecting progress on my application the moment I paid the $50 renewal fee.

Lo and behold, progress has befallen me: oath ceremony scheduled for April 12, putting my 'application mailed' to 'citizenship ceremony' at exactly 26 months. Light at the end of the tunnel, folks.

(Same status for my wife: full application is for family of 4 including two minors)

I also logged into the client application portal and there I see the status as "Decision Made". In the help table, this status shows following:

DECISION
MADE

(A decision has been made at this point.)
Applicant Notified
You will be notified by mail about the decision on your citizenship application.
If you meet the requirements, you will be invited to a citizenship ceremony where you will take the oath of citizenship and receive a certificate of Canadian citizenship.
If you do not meet the requirements, you will be informed in writing.

I guess I should be checking my home mailbox regularly ...

I'm not sure you will receive any letter to your mail. Instead you will be sent an email with instructions for your oath once invited. I received an email in my case. Nothing was mailed to my home address.

@GuyanaGirl I got the oath email with instructions yesterday March 28. Approximately one week to oath ceremony. Best of luck to you and others waiting for oath!
Awesome, congratulations!! :)

@sirjoe , Yes I would think so too. Checking my emails regularly these days :D

Small update: email with ceremony details received on March 29 @ 3:07pm Eastern. So 4 days from status update to email, and email received two weeks prior to the ceremony.
