Here is my timeline for you guys. Kitchener Office.

Applied on 19th January 2012.
Kitchener Office started my file (IN Progress) on 17th November 2012.
Test letter issued on 6th March 2013.
Test date was 21st March 2013.
Oath was letter issued on 13th May 2013.
30th May 2013 is the Oath....

Congrats! i have applied in May 2012. You have very good timeline, I am one month behind you in all the steps, except for the test :-( hope to get it soon too. Congrats again! we have different offices though. Good luck with the test!

did any body get test letter especially peoples how had their status in process since 1 December 2012 ? pls if there any updates to share thanks and good luck for every body ps please how do i knew if my application had been transferred to the local cic (i live in Guelph) ? please any responses asap ? thanks a lot

Click on X to close the window that is covering the phone number. This is their new trick to reduce calls to the calls centre ...


Call Centre telephone number: 1-888-242‑2100

Ask the agent about the date of transfer. Sometimes they refuse to take a look at your file if you are not close to the posted timeline (25 months).
You might have to call them several times. When their lines are busy they disconnect your call ...

oh sorry i dont really know i just received a letter in my mail about the test so i didnt have to call but i know ppl who applied before me and they havent hear from them

Does it make any difference calling the CIC?!! I called them on a regular basis and every single time hear a different story..last August an agent told me that I should expect taking a test soon...but I am still waiting till this moment!! It is really frustrating when you see that you applied in the mid of 2011 and haven't witnessed any significant improvement in your status till this moment while some apply late 2012 and took the test and some got the citizenship...where is the logic and the fair processing?!!

I completely understand your frustration. I called them several times as well and I always hear different stories. I don't think they have a clue. I don't think it will make any difference calling or not calling. All depends on luck.

Mine case got in to process on DEC 1, 2012 as well. So far nothing...

I asked several times about whether my file has been transferred or not, every time it's a different answer. I don't know who to believe at all. I guess all you can do is to wait.

Hi Egyo, have you ever asked whether the file got transferred? I know the answer from them might not be accurate. But it still worth asking just so that they can look deeper into your file. If they say it is transferred, remember to ask when because they should see a date there. I also think some of the rep. wouldn't want to take the trouble. I guess in that case you can call another agent.

Thanks April2012. I asked about the date of transfer and they said August 2012. So yes, they could look into the file but no extra info offered.
