Kitchener local office after Bill C6

Hello,

I am a Feb 2018 applicant from Kitchener. AOR 28 Feb 2018, In-Process May 30. Nothing after that. I am bit worried now. Is the delay due to lengthy background checks or office is just slow?

Alot of people applied after me and got their oath done even in different cities. What's wrong with Kitchener.

Kitchener is the worst office in CANADA mine is since January no date yet for test, I wish I knew I could have used my friend address in Calgary because I am there attimes for business, I have giving up if they like they should take 10 years to process it, I wish you the best.

yes.. applied in Jan 2018, test done on Oct 19, 2018, invited for oath on Nov 20, 2018

Yes! We're in Kitchener and they received our application on December 20, 2017. My husband got the invite on Ocober 31 and we just completed the test and interview this morning (November 14). They told us that the ceremony would probably be "sooner rather than later."

These are all indications that the Kitchener office is now picking up speed. On the October 24th week, the Kitchener office was busy the entire week with oath ceremonies. Now that that is over we are seeing a number of people are moving to the next stage. I just called CIC today and learned that the Kitchener office is waiting for my security check results. So probably I am not going to be among the people getting test invitation any time soon. But I am hopeful.
