The officers at Kitchener CIC seems to follow super laid down approach. Work which can be completed in a day they take a month. Even assuring that everything is ok on the file, they are still keeping it with them since last 2 weeks!!!
Come on GUYS Move on.... Its been 7 years filling your stupid FORMS for PR/Extensions/PR cards/ Citizensip......And paying hefty fees !!!

If you're waiting for decision made, it may be that there is a check outstanding which the Kitchener folks are waiting for to come back. Alternatively it may just be ECAS - some updates never come. Hopefully good news comes to us all soon. Hang in there!

I'm still waiting for the Test, too.
I don't know what is the reason for this extremely slow process.
I sent my FP to RCMP in Jan 2018, and they sent it to Toronto office as instructed in the letter.
Maybe that is why?
Hopefully I get the Test invite before the end of June.

Many of them waiting never got the FP request, including me. Seems like there's no logic to the processing order. Hopefully u do get the invite, Wait is the name of the game!

I am guessing that he wrote email to Kitchener IRCC to follow up on his case, and that's why he got an email telling him the update. Just guessing...

Hi Zardoz, your timeline and mine are similar. My test was May 23 and DM the next day. The officer told me "late June/early July" at the interview. I also figured that was hinting towards a large ceremony being done on Canada Day. No email yet.

You can look at when Oath ceremonies are scheduled online. Right now Kitchener has June 19th (i.e. tomorrow) and June 20th, 10:30am and 1:30pm each day. Nothing is listed past that. Other offices have already released details of July 1 ceremonies they have planned.

I'm wondering (hoping) that if they have people in the office for the next 2 days for Oaths, this will also be the time that they will organize the next batch of us ready to take Oaths for sometime in the next few weeks. Not sure they have enough time to throw it together for July 1 (which is a shame) but so long as it gets done, soon, I won't mind too much.

I've already lived here 10 years, another few weeks won't kill me...lol
