I hope everyone has plans to enjoy the holiday and long weekend. I am going to do my weekend housework today, the weatherman is calling for rain on the weekend, and I have plans to enjoy it whatever the weather, LOL.

HF - thanks for the drive-by posting, hope all is well with you and yours.

RG - I just started walking again with my friend, and we didn't get a chance to do it this week and already I miss it. It felt really great the evenings we got to do it, I felt positive and relaxed.

Jahlove, you need to reclaim your earlybird post from Kedeisha. Although, since you have been holding it so long, technically it is still yours.

It is a lovely day out, my husband is assembling his weed whacker on the porch and getting ready to do some other yard work, including move a Douglas fir tree. I am enjoying watching all of this on the laptop, I suspect I will not be able to sit around and ask questions and give directions when I am actually there.

Hey Irving!

It's going well! The process is being lubricated by many Budweisers (the Canadian brewed ones, of course!) and some good old-fashioned elbow grease. The yard is starting to look like someone lives there, as my mother would say.

I still have more than half the brownies, I am taking my time with this set, as I am trying to get back into shape and tone up. Not really trying to lose weight, but I have cut down on my calorie intake, just want to fit back into some clothes that have become a little tight.

The house smells like Lysol...argh. When I am done cleaning, I am spraying it all over with Febreze, LOL.

Good Morning Everyone! Welcome to the new people! You are in the best company!

I hope everyone has a great long weekend and that next week and the weeks to come are as good as the past few for you guys!

Can you believe Tiana will be 8 weeks soon! Crazy! Time flys and I am enjoying every min of it.. she is getting so big. Tomorrow we are going for our first picnic Its supposed to be lovely here tomorrow so hubby is excited about being able to just wear a marina and short pants with slippers!

And... I booked my trip to JA... so excited. We will be there for x mas and new years. I have never booked a trip so far in advanced but all of the hotels are booked up so we did it.. ocho rios here we come. we were going to stay at our place or his parents but I wanted to be spoiled and also wanted to make sure Tiana manages JA for her first time... too much scorpian and lizzard and moskita for her up in the bush, even though every child in JA soldiers through it, i wanna protect my little one. next time we will rough it out in the bush!!

KC, 8 weeks already?!?!?? She is SO beautiful - bless her... You & Hubby have done well.

Hubby & I are good, we're making our way to Jamdown next month for 16 days I cannot wait!!! We're going for some vacation time on the beach and a wedding too... We're making a surprise visit! When we come back it'll be the exact same day he came to Canada last year. ;D

lol Chelley, I think my husband misses the snow a little bit. Not so much the bundling up but the freezing rain on the ground - he loved it. Massive snowfalls when he got the opportunity to shovel - that was a joy for him. Not to mention making snowmen... lol But now the trees aren't so "dried up" he's enjoying this now too.

Nae! Congrats to you and Hubby on your baby girl, Marisa - love the name! You both must be so excited!

Someone said LCW is having a boy?

Congrats to everyone who have been hearing from KG - that's the best feeling knowing that you're moving along, one step closer to being with your loved ones... ;D

Hi HF, hey LCW! Hullo Kc and lil Miss Tiana.

Aww LCW, a lil boy named after his father, sweet! The other day my husband and I were discussing names, he shot down my choice that day, wasn't even interested in asking me why I liked it, haha. When that man makes up his mind about something, the end! Not that we are anywhere near ready, but I figure you can never agree on names too early, or next thing you know the child ends up with something we never discussed at all!

Kc you must be so excited! I agree with you on staying at a hotel because you have the baby, it's one thing when the baby is born here, it's another when they are not, LOL. My brother and his wife (live in US) have to stay at their own house or a hotel with their boys, because my younger nephew will NOT bathe in cold water, or it's war in the house. When he comes to my mother's house, he stays "dirty" until he goes home to where there is hot water, or she has to put the kettle on, LOL.

HF, now that's a nice way to celebrate the end of your hubby's first year in Canada, come back home to Jamaica, LOL. Have a great time!
