Meg.... i think i've posted to your earlier threads... congrats on getting the paperwork in... it's a slightly overwhelming undertaking when you start out, and a big sigh of relief when it's finally done, isn't it? :)

since your case is straight forward and all the nations involved are i believe commonwealth and visa exempt (scotland/UK and cayman), i'd suspect you'd be looking at a similar processing time as Miracle 44 on our timeline (she was from Bahamas, another visa exempt country).. the only thing that might delay yours a little longer is the requirement for extra background checks... (scotland/UK and cayman)...

shouldn't be an issue though... assuming your paperwork is in order and your proof sufficient, I expect you'll be cursing the cold weather long before christmas :)

hey to everyone else... I'm just wrapping up a HUGE project and catching up on all the little things i've neglected over the last couple weeks... like sleep...

congrats to Ladyposh and everyone else who got good news recently, i'll catch up in more detail when i can :)

Hey chelley! :)

Ah ha, see Meg? Already you're ahead of the game! Good luck to your husband, I too am an accountant, and will be looking for something in that line after I move. Actually doing that right now here in Jamaica too, but as my application was just transferred, I'm thinking I've got a wait ahead of me, enough time to take another FT job, LOL.

hey CharlieD10 sweet thats what i took in school graduation is June 20th cant wait jow working as an analyst for Bell Canada dont thing im gonna pursue and get a designation tho

after we get married can my hubby get a TRV while the pr app is under processed because his fam who is to do the letter of invite a move away so we no wan bother no 1 so im wondering will they turn him down if me his wife then write a letter before we apply for sponsorship

Kedeisha, it is entirely unlikely your fiance/husband will be given a TRV. Non-visa-exempt spouses are considered high risk candidates to overstay TRVs, so they are routinely denied.

I chose to get a professional designation because they are portable. Most countries are willing to recognize professional designations, or at least make it easier for someone holding one to work in another country and earn the accepted designation for that country.

ok darn it well it wa worth a shot bcuz he has all this time off from his job

so u r a CA sweet ;D

Does any1 forseeing a problem with my dude being a member of the Jamaican Military like will they ask for proof that he never went into combat and those things

His background check will take longer, because of the military service. It doesn't matter if he never saw combat, they will have to check his records with JDF, so that is an added step in his background check, and there is the possibility he will have a security interview. It is not a definite, just a possibility.

Damn, my husband is good. He is watching a movie (The Mighty Quinn) filmed here in Jamaica, takes one look at a scene and IMs me to say, "Is Bonny View Hotel in Portland, because this scene looks like it is in Portland". I had to tell him, yes, Bonny View is in Port Antonio. This is even more suprising when I recall that he has only been to Portland once, at night, more than 6 months ago! :D That man knows his Jamaica. :P

Good morning peeps, hoping for more great news today.
