KC... I had mentionned june 20 at 7pm at Rainforest cafe in the Yorkdale mall... I just said me and hubby will be there and whoever wants to join please come along... so a few decided to join us... i was thinking of having another get together something in a park or beach would be nice... but i thought for later maybe in august but if you want to organise something for june gimme a date and ill see if its possible for us or me to make it...

My husband is on his way to Kingston as I type now...he didnt want to courier it, therfore, he is bringing in the documents himself. Does anyone know when a good time to drop off passports and additional documents as per request from the letter he received?
He is going to drop off the addtional information they require as well as PP for him an his daughter....
Another question: Does anyone know how long PP pick up is? How do they tell you to pick it up telephone, email or another letter (kidding on the letter).
Last Question: What is the timeframe they give for people to leave Jamaica once they receive the visa in their passport?
Any further advise for the final stages would be greatly appreciated...

Can-Indy-Jam... Your husband should show up at the embassy tomorrow around 1pm or so they open the gate from 1:30pm to 2:30pm but at time the line up is long.... so better get in line from early....
It can take anywhere from a week to a few weeks to receive back the passports... Kingston is pretty unpredictable but on average it takes 2 weeks approximately to receive it back.... They will call him when its time to go get it back...
The expiry date on the visa will be the day the medical examination expires so exactly a year after its done.... they must be gone out of the jamaica the latest the day the visa expires or before... If not gone then you would have to restart the whole process...

Btw, that "decision made" was to approve my husband for sponsoring me, we have been waiting since Mar 17 for it. Yes, I know it's much longer than normal, he receives disability payments and they needed some paperwork from ODSP. My file is now in KG, and so I'll be around for quite some time more, don't nominate my successor yet!
Can-Indy, PP drop off is only between 1:30 and 2:30, but tell your husband to make sure he arrives early, the line-up starts early, as lonely_wife said. Return of the PP can be anywhere from a few days to a few weeks, ensure he complies with any instructions received, so if they asked for the prepaid courier envelope, make sure he takes one.

Morning lonely_wife and proper!
It's a lovely day here, not too warm and hopefully it doesn't get any more humid. Hubby is in the hospital for two days of treatment starting today, just his regular visits, we are used to this by now. He has his laptop with him, so at least we can stay in touch, LOL.
