I am looking at plane tickets now just to see what I am looking at and WOWOWOWOW ever expensive... westjet and airjamaica way overpriced... leaves aircanada with a arrival for may 13 if I wanna pay a reasonable price... OUCH... I am not booking anything until hubby has the passport with visa in his hand cause I am not sure the exact date it will expire... If I am correct it will be may 16 but not 100%....

Chelley does this mean that if his PCC expires in May and his medical in July they would go with the medical?? I thought it was the first one that expires they would go with?? I am asking because hubby mom is getting married June 18 and I was planning to going to Jamaica and getting hubby but if his stuff expires in may he will have to come and we will miss his moms wedding because he wont have his PR on time...

Lonely... the police clearance technically expires within 3 months and has not much baring on the visa once the application is in (occassionally they will ask for it to be redone)

its the medical expiry that they set the visa to, or the passport if it expires first.

Ok I have three questions on costs...one of my immigration package, one for a friends...and an inquiry from someone already here wanting to sponser parents.

1. How much is the TOTAL fees for my husbands immigration package...every single last fee from beginning to end from sponsership to PR and him landing in Canada. I'm paying it all online.

2. I've had a request to know the total fees for sponsering a parent?

3. I've also had a request for the TOTAL fees from beginning to end for sponsering one spouse and one dependant child.

If anyone can answer these....please include every last fee that has to be paid...don't leave out anything.

LOL...anyone else have this happen. Others find out about this site and rather than sign up themselves they make you ask things on their behalf....not that I even have time for that right now.

SmoothiesQ, the total fees for your husband is $1,040. That's sponsor fee + applicant fee + right of PR fee for applicant.

The link above will help your friends calculate the fees they need to pay for spouse and child, and parents.

Thanks Chelley for the info.. I guess we will wait and see what happens... If i base myself on what you're telling me hubby will be coming home with me in June after his mothers wedding Lets wait a few weeks and see what his passport will say
